i know one guy that paid for club seats a few days ago and was on the phone with AMEX last nite (on his way back from Barley House) trying to get them to stop the charges.
Weak. He's the guy I wanted to punch in the face last night while I watched it on TV.
he is a big time knee-jerker....
btw, did you ever punch anything last night?

Nah, managed to keep it cool after a while. I realized after my initial frustration that I expected to lose anyway and that this is a rebuilding year (although I'm sick as hell of having to say that).
I'll be watching and cheering on the guys all season, trying to keep in mind that it's more important that we IMPROVE this year from start to finish than anything else.
That and I'm 27 and don't want to have a heart attack before 30 if I can help it

i was wondering if you did. i remember posting alongside you and then after you said that you were gonna punch something you didn't post for a while. i figured you punched something....
for the record, i have punched in frustration. when i lived in the village about 6 yrs ago i probably punched a dozen holes into my 500 sq ft apt. funny thing is that I then tried to cover them with printer paper and tape when i moved out. needless to say, i lost my deposit.

I cut some small holes (I missed a few times) in an apartment I lived in once trying to run a line for satellite. When I moved out I just glued blank outlet cover plates onto the wall (at least 3 onto one 10 foot wall plus the two real lines). Worked like a charm!
I gave up and just went to bed last night after the game. 120+ posts in one night is all I can handle.

I don't care how sterile something coming out of someone else is if it's anywhere near my non-sock or shoe covered foot. That's just not cool.

Come to think of it, I don't care how sterile it is if it's anywhere near me, period

Reminds me of an old joke....
A Mustang and a Longhorn both go into the men's room.
After the Mustang finishes, he zips it up and begins to walk out the door.
The Longhorn says, "You know, at Texas they teach us to wash our hands after taking a p!ss."
The Mustang responds, "At SMU, we don't p!ss on our hands."

I think it goes beyond freaking out. We just have some really sorry alums that like to call themselves fans. I hope they take that guy's name down and refuse him next time he decides to jump on the bandwagon and try to buy tickets. It is one thing to decide not to buy tickets, but what he is doing is akin to stealing.

Nacho, I for one am glad I went and supported the team. I also am glad that our section of the stands were full for the TV audience including all those 4 & 5 star prospects we want to recruit. It was important for them to know that SMU fans support their team.
I feel sorry for you and others who are such fair weather fans that you can not get off your a-- to drive a couple hundred miles to support your college team. I know many high schools whose fans will drive that far.
