Season prediction update

To summarize the debacle that was Friday's game:

Offense: Glimmers of hope. The SMU receiver talent is real. BLM has a quick release and is kinda accurate. You can see the talent.
Problem: What is with 2 INT returned for TD's. JJ definately needs to work with the boys about how to pick it up when they turn over the ball.

Defense: I see the same athletic ability as last year but no improvement in the schemes and putting players around the ball. Unfortunately, we will not win many games when you are a sub 100 ranked D1 defense. If I was a defense player I would be ashamed and when I graduate never mention I was a member of this defense.
Conclusion: We have better talent than we played on Friday. This defense may have new terminology but it is still about putting pressure on the QB and making tackles. We did neither. I saw a D that didn't have a clue and a coach who needs to do alot better.
Special Teams: Except for the missed PAT, I thought the special teams looked good. I saw the difference coaching has made in this area.

Season Prediction: 3-9.

We will beat Texas State, Memphis, and Tulane.

The JJ miracle is going to have to wait.

2-10, I say we win 2 of the games you mentioned, but get beat by 1 of the teams, possibly even this Saturday.
