JJ's press conferenceWhen asked about Aldrick Robinson's play, JJ said he was special, but needed confidence and to catch the ball. When asked about Bradley Haynes moving from scout team to playing in the game, he answered it was just because of an injury to the probable starter. And the follow up was asked if Haynes would be added to the starting rotation, JJ's answer, "I like some things that he did." But when he was asked about BLM's play, he said he had poise and confidence and only made some freshman mistakes. Seems that the only players allowed to make mistakes are his recruits.

Another negative post by the troll! You should mix in a positive to cover better! C-ya @ Milos!
Unless you are a proven football coach in at the college and pro levels for many years, I'm going to stick with JJ on this one. I'm guessing he knows a little bit more about the game (and his offense) than you do and he is probably better suited to make those determinations.
I think that JJ is making another point here. Haynes is extremely inconsistant when I have seen him practice in the spring. He takes repetitions off, jogs through routes at times and the such. Robinson has great speed and athleticism, but when I watched he gave it 100% every single time down the field.
With Wilkerson back healthy, he is another athlete. JJ's WRs are going to be players who are not only good athletes, but they run their butt off on a route, get back to the line of scrimmage quickly, and do it again. That is the essence of the run and shoot. You have to maintain focus, run the right routes, read the right plays, and run them all hard. It isn't just about size and speed. Haynes has great physical potential, but he has to get down all the parts of the game before he will see more playing time. In this offense, if you run an out when you are supposed to run an in, its a pick 6 and it becomes a huge issue. JJ wants to win just as much as anyone on this board. He isn't going to sacrifice the team or play favorites in spite of the team.
In reply to Jason B: While reading this board, I've seen that Haynes is out of shape from his minor knee surgery; he's over weight, inconsistent with his routes; he doesn't run the play out completely. I have not seen any of this with my own eyes, but I have seen Haynes catching and running a 19 yard touchdown pass. He caught a 22 yard 1st down pass. Tackled a Rice player after an under thrown pass. Jason B, did you also know that he completed the conditioning drill. He has 7% body fat. So why would Mr Jones substitute in an overweight, bad knees, wrong route running, inconsistent, lazy on routes player in the first quarter for a play scripted for him. STOP SPREADING RUMORS ON PLAYERS THAT YOU REALLY HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT. YOU MAY HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT SOMEONE ELSE AND THOUGHT YOU WERE LOOKING AT HAYNES. AND BELIEVE ME THAT HAS HAPPEDEND. THE TROLL IS LEAVING THE BUILDING. I'M OUT....
And yet in spite of that, He's mysteriously not making the start unless Wilkerson is injured. How odd.
Having typed that in all caps has clearly emphasized your point. I'm much more inclined to agree with you now that I understand how important your opinion is to yourself. ![]() -CoS
Did you miss Cole Beasley? Just because a player is a freshman doesn't mean they can't play.
too bad we dont have Julio Jones lining up at WR for us.
Yeah with him, Pryor at QB, and the Easter Bunny at WR we'd be BCS-busting for sure
last i heard the Easter Bunny was out of eligibility
