After TWENTY-FIVE years without a winning season. Now that's some pain.
At least we have '97 ....

How many losing seasons in a row would their teams have had in the WAC or in C-USA?

I remember opening the 1990 season with a 44-7 thumping of Vandy...on our way to a 1-10 finish.

Didn't we get beat the next week by Tulane?

we got drilled the following week - Tulane beat us 43-7 to bring everyone back to reality. Tech beat us 62-7 that year, too.

my bro goes to vandy and all he does is talk about how they're ranked now and trash talk SMU.. I hope we get our football program together so we can kill Vandy once we play them.. that would surely shut him up once and for all..

spent an enjoyable Sat. in Oxford with my Vandy frosh daughter and her buds...never have I seen so many drunk people in button downs and kackis in my entire life...still don't get the "ole miss thing"...sort of a one eyed king of a blind country concept down there...anyway, if Vandy can field a competitive SEC squad, surely the "stangs can??!!? long live gary hammond.

And don't forget that the Vandy program has been to a number of sweet 16s in mens and womens bball over the last few years as well as a college world series. Overall - running a pretty good program in what I believe to be the most competitive conference in the NCAAs.

Note that it took Bobby Johnson seven years to get the football program at Vanderbilt to this point.
