The fact that he refuses to put Willis in at QB is unacceptable in my eyes. Willis is an all-conference QB sitting on the bench while we are playing a true freshman who would not be playing right now at any other division 1 school in the country. I see nothing from Bo that suggest he is ready to play at this level, or that he is the QB of the future. And most disturbing is that Bo doesn't show any signs of leadership. I don't see him getting the team pumped up.....there is no "get on my back and let's go" type of leadership. That was one thing that really impressed me about Willis in his freshman year. He never seem rattled.....and always showed confidence. That's what you want from your QB.
Regardless, tonight's effort and talent on the field was at an all-time low for SMU football. Very sad.

More than those things, PonyPride has told us that Mitchell gets the vast majority of the snaps in practice, and that Logan Turner gets a majority of the leftovers. If that's true, you can't throw Willis in there. It has to be Mitchell or Turner. Until Willis gets snaps - a LOT of snaps - in this offense, it's throwing in the towel to play him. I love watching Willis play, and I hope he gets a chance to play QB again, but if not I hope he succeeds at WR.

Exactly. Redshirt years do QB's a lot of good.

That's right-you can't learn anything sitting on the sidelines next to Coach.

give it up people. Unless Jones decides to change QBs for conference play and the rest of the season so we can maybe avoid another 0-8 season in CUSA, it is pretty clear he isn't concerned about our record this year. Didn't he prety much tell us that coming in?
This year is painful, but less so when you have no expectations. Can only hope this team improves along the way and finds a way to beat somebody before the season ends. At least (record-wise) we can do no worse than last year.
Gotta admit, last year's games were exciting. Week after week, it seemed we found new ways to lose close games. This year the game are over early.

Yea, it is not like it was cold last night? Is he a afraid of a couple of scraps?
