Viewing Party in Dallas or Should We Just Forget About It?

Postby bagice » Tue Sep 23, 2008 12:14 am

When the schedule came out with us on the Thursday Game this week I was excited and hoped we could have a good viewing party like we did two years ago against Tulane....

It is sad but I am not sure if I can find the motivation to even go anywhere and force innocent bar patrons that happened to be wherever we picked to watch the mess that is SMU Football this year. They will be better off watching the USC game on ESPN.....

Anyone thinking of putting anything together?

Hey, bagice! I'm up for a game watching party! Name the place and time. NSL on Greenville? Fox & Hound? Dave & Buster's? I'm still recuperating from the good time watching the Tulane game 2 years ago with you and others at The Public House Bar on Greenville.

65 - find a place that's showing it, and I'll join you there.

And you NEVER give up - GO MUSTANGS!

Just a warning. I went to NSL on Sunday and it was a disaster for the Cowboys game. (waited for everything) -- Not sure if they can't handle large crowds or if it always like that.

I have never seen so many people out for Cowboy watching at all the bars around town in 10 yrs. All the sports bars are packed.

I stopped by the NSL just to check it out. I feel badly for saying this, but I think it lasts maybe 6-9 more months and then its gonzo.

i will watch the muted game by myself for about an hour, in which on the opening kickoff they'll return a kick off to the house or jessie will fumble on our kick off return. after tulane scores, i'll switch over to the usc pregame show

I think we'll be watching this one from home rather than driving to a bar in Dallas. You guys have fun!

Im feeling the same way....

SMU Football this year is like Adult Movies, probably best not to watch them at all, but if you have a moment of weakness and must give in to tempation, do so in the privacy of your own home

 It would also involve getting a sitter for the kids and driving an hour, not to mention we have something going every other night this week. But yeah, it is likely to be painful to watch. I'll hope for the best.
