Can some of you insiders tell us the story behind Turner and Whittington being suspended?

I don't know about whittington, but I believe the issue with turner has something to do with cutting class.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

I thought inter-team dating wasn"t allowed at SMU...or is that just for Rompola's team?

Granted I did a lot of dumb crap when I was in college, but seriously, what is the deal with a JUNE JONES-COACHED QB cutting class. The physical act of going to class requires very little actual effort. Turner is "a play away" from being the guy. Not smart, LT, not smart

You mean they might be gay? Not that there is anything wrong with that.

No we don't have any gay people on the football team. They're sad we lost to Tulane.

I skipped class occasionally. It is what it is. Oh yeah, I didn't have a scholarship that paid my tuition, room, and board.

Your parents might have a different take on that.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

My parents generally don't discuss the Hilltop with me. Let's just say that to them, the ROI simply wasn't, isn't, and never will be there. My mom (God rest her soul) wanted Baylor because that's "where all the really cute Godly girls from our town are going". My dad wanted A&M because he thinks that's where real men go to school. Both opinions generally got a belly laugh from me.
But yeah, they wanted me in class.

OC Mustang...my comment had more to do with your not being on a "scholarship." Most parents, if they are picking up the tab, might have a different opinion as to whether or not their kid was on a "scholarship." I was taking a guess that you were not paying your own way...of course I don't really know that, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from making the comment.
