Yeahhhhhhh!!!!!!
Hey guys, this must be a new trend. Perform low,you will be praised for it.
I guess some folks still haven't figured it out yet. Jones is secure in his 5 year gig and obviously is trying to determine what he has on the current roster...that will help this team win another 2-3 years down the road. I think we all know there will be no CUSA Championship or bowl game any time soon. Have to deal with the fact that mostly young guys are playing and that Jones is probably thinking 2-3 years out before SMU will field a competitive team. Bottom line is...yes, guys are being allowed to (hopefully) learn from their mistakes.
Assuming this post is primarily a reference to BLM, I will trust that Jones, better than anyone else, knows what he needs in a QB to run this system and will make the right decisions to restore respectability to the SMU football program.
I don't care how he does it...if Jones can field a WINNING team by his 3rd or 4th year here, let's hope the "Circle of Champions" will pony up for a contract extension and that JJ will be enjoying it here well enough to stick around longer than 5 years. Under the current system, a CUSA Championship and BCS Bowl game is the goal
