dont know how a 3-star jc db isnt on the field nearly at all. anybody have any answers?

Maybe he wasn't really worthy of the "3 star" label?

McELroy has played in 3 games this year, and even made a tackle, once. Bennie Thomas, the other JC defensive back who had offers from big schools, has doubled McElroy's production numbers. He has played in all 6 games, and made 2 tackles.
Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
