Can Tyra Collette get accepted at SMU?

had the following dialogue with Dillon High School Vice Principal Trucks regarding her future College Plans on the Friday Night Lights Season Three premier:

"VPT = Vice Principal Trucks
TC = Tyra Collette

VPT: What schools are you thinking of applying to?
TC: Oh, I was thinking of UT Austin, TMU, Southern Methodist. Maybe A&M.

VPT: I see. You really think that sounds realistic?
TC: Well I know A&M's a long shot, but...

VPT: You have a 2.6 GPA, there is no way any of those schools that you mentioned are going to seriously consider an application...
TC: Right, but you got to look at my progress, I mean, my grades from last year have radically improved and so...

VPT: I know, but your 1.9 Freshman year still counts. It all counts! I just don't want you to waste your time...
TC: Mrs. Taylor, she told me that I...

VPT: Miss Collete, State Schools are a Pipe Dream! You need to start thinking about other options... Technical Colleges, Junior Colleges...
TC: Like Dillon Tech?

VPT: Don't look down on Dillon Tech. It's a good option, it's a realistic option.
TC: Okay"

As I get most of my information about Texas Football from Friday Night Lights I need to know if Southern Methodist is going to accept Tyra?

Also I was unaware that SMU is a State School.

also where is Dillon? and "TMU" also in Austin?

Did Thad create this "TMU" in his Austin abode?

So much drama!

I heard SMU admissions counselors say several times that they wanted to see some "forward improvement." Maybe this is what they meant...

The show is filmed in Pflugerville, I believe. Does that help?

But like the engineering school, the football team should be working for gender parity in this traditionally male dominated arena. Even though female players may not be as qualified, we should admit them instead of male students to get closer to 50% female! Yay!

One of the actors...the paraplegic QBs dad, I think, is a SMU alum, and they sometimes mention SMU (their stud running back listed SMU among recruiting letters received, I think...).

And no, she would not...unless she was from Highland Park, Hockaday, Ursuline, and/or had parents willing to donate coin to a building or department endowed chair AND willing to chair the SMU Parent's Fundraising committee.

But she is certainly hot enough to go to SMU.

Yes, I created TMU right here, so she can go to college in my apartment. I even have a spot on my full contact chess team roster for her.
