Remaining Games

Postby SMU21TCU10 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 1:33 pm

According to Rivals rankings, our remaining 4 teams are ranked as
Navy- 61
Memphis-86
UTEP-88
Southern Miss-100

We are # 114. We led our last 2 opponents Tulsa-20, Houston-54, pretty much the whole game and only lost in the last few minutes. We have Southern Miss and Memphis at home. I say we win 2 of our remaining 3 conference games putting us 3-9. =)

UTEP looked pretty porous against Tulsa. So Miss is beginning to wonder why they fired their coach who only won 8-9 games per year. Memphis is no world beater. Navy at least will use up lots of clock in their scoring drives. So, it might be a manageable score.

From a real honest perspective. We have been playing better against good competition each week. We looked terrible against Rice, TCU and TT. Otherwise, we've been pretty competitive since then. TCU beat the #9 team in the country handily. And TT is ranked #7. I think we'll win at least one of the remaining games and probably two of them.

they all look like games that could be beat downs for us but if we come to play like as of late, we could take them all to the W column

we better win some of them or instead of starting to believe, these young guys will sway toward a feeling of being cursed
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.
