They can thwart our areal attack with fighter planes. No wonder they aren't scared.

Hopefully we'll actually be able to beat them one of these years instead of penciling it in as an annual loss, no?

Host does not have to fly the whole student body. Recently the Naval Academy slashed the reserved number of Midshipmen that they guaranteed travel to for away games. As of now, 500 Midshipmen are guaranteed travel and a seat at the Navy-SMU game at Ford in 2009.

I think triple P was only talking about the Army-Navy game, and his point was bolstered by this from the DMN, discussing the Cotton Bowl dropping its pursuit of the game:

McKoy said the major hang-up was that the winning bidder had to pay for transporting the entire Naval Academy and West Point student bodies – about 8,000 students – to the game each year. McKoy estimated that cost at around $5 million and added that there was nothing in place to help offset those costs.

"It was a little bit too rich for us," McKoy said.

I think the crowd will be somewhat smaller than expected. They are calling for rain -most of the day on Saturday, so some folks might stay home in front of a warm fire. I'll be there, but it will be 66 degrees and intermittant rain. That also impacts both offenses. Their option offense is harder to run with a slippery football and of course our passing offense is tough with a slippery football. So, it may actually be a low scoring game.

Yep, Towson has a football team. A team much like TSU as far as talent and type of kids they can recruit. They are at the next higher level when it comes to lacross where they compete with the big boys and play a truly impressive schedule mainly with top 20 teams.

Eactly my thought, if the defense is predicated on stopping the long ball we should do well.

Yeah, I knew they were a lacrosse school. I really never knew that they had a football team, though.
