TT is the kind of team that can sneak up on a UT or OU in a down year and beat em. With UT it happened five years ago.
Any real competition and TT fades. Given their recruiting classes and historically weak defensive play perhaps this is to be expected. Attracting kids to that West Texas hick town for four or five years must be hard.
The pretenders will be exposed Saturday night once again.

Mack Brown keeps his team focused post OU every year. If Tech wants to make it a track meet, then the Horns can light up the scoreboard too. The BIG difference is on defense, and Tech is not on par with Texas quite yet. Besides, the Texas Ticks must play OU and OSU still. They can't run the gauntlet like UT has done. Turn out the lights, the party's over.

KU will take care of business against the dust raiders.

Yes, I was wrong about KU. I thought the Fatman would figure the pretenders out.
All it proves is that KU is not very good.
Tech does not suck. Never said that. My point is that they are not an elite team like so many of their obnoxious fans think. They get on a big stage and they mostly fail. Its doubtful they will ever move their program to the next level.
It amazes me how many people on this board give support to the dust raiders. Why??
They proved little punishing a weak KU team.
Lets see how the rest of the season goes for the High Powered Offense when they meet a High Powered Defense.
If recent history is any indication the results will be predictable.

the key in this game for tech to win is if their offense can keep scoring. that ut d did a great job the last 3 games. the o gave it up this past saturday and that d still kept them in the game.

I think the 'horns will take care of biz against tech, but it'll be a great game.

We'd take any of their offensive line recruits, and probably any of their recruits, in a heartbeat.

Imagine how bad our recruiting would be if we were located in Lubbock.

not as bad as it is now....we are located in the most heavily contested recruiting ground in the Big 12...and it does not leave us with much
