Remember a couple of years ago when we played that game on Halloween? Remember how fun it was - not just the game, but the party atmosphere on the Boulevard and in the stadium (not to mention the hot college girls in their skimpy costumes)?
So why haven't we had another game anywhere near Halloween since then? Why can't the marketing geniuses figure out that the Boulevard is a great set-up for a "BOO-levard" and that this was one of the few ideas, albeit by accident, that made SMU games more fun?
It wouldn't take much to twist C-USA's arm so that SMU plays a home game close to Halloween every year. It would be a great tradition.
And even this weekend, with no game at all, SMU should open the "Boolevard" for business. Make it a charitable event, hand out candy to kids and let's have a great time.
Nah, makes too much sense.

Remember when the athletic department was not going to open the Boo-Levard until 4:30 on that Tuesday gameday then had a change of heart thanks, in part, to the rabble we PFers roused?
Thankfully, they did. What a great day!

That was the night my oldest dressed up as Bobby Chase, got on the front page of ponyfans.com, and got to hang with Bobby after the game. He'll never forget that.
Boulder's got their Mall Crawl. Let us have our Boolevard!

I'm very disturbed by the phallic nature of one of those photos. It must have been cold that night.

I think it depends on Daylight Savings time. It appears we play night when on daylight savings and afternoon after we go back to standard. This is the first year I can recall that they have waited until after October 31st to change back.

My wife (girlfriend at the time) and I went as the Life Magazine photo "Kissing the War Goodbye" But we weren't on the Boulevard long very long pre-game. I don't remember why we were running so late. I'll see if I can't track down a picture from the house.

Next year clocks will fall back on November 1st. Starting in 2007, daylight time begins in the United States on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November.
