Here's hope:

StallionsModelT wrote:I'm baffled by the people who say we are making progress. Really? Where? We have the worst quarterback in the country, the worst defense in the country, we drop or can't come up with big turnovers, and we're shooting ourselves in the foot with dumb turnovers.

This is actually kinda fun:

StallionsModelT wrote:The only possible explanation for us not being the consensus worst team in America is that people simply haven't seen us play. Watch this team for five minutes and I dare you to find me a worse team.

Truly hopeful:

StallionsModelT wrote:What's truly sad is I'm glad we don't have any more games against D1AA schools b/c I don't think we'd win. At least we will lose only to D1A schools. Ahhh we set the bar so high at SMU.

Lotsa hope in this one:

StallionsModelT wrote:Oh. My. God. This thing is likely 3 years away from sniffing competitive football. Rice could have beaten us by 50. Just please let us beat Texas State otherwise all the JJ love will disappear and back to the cellar we go. I mean WOW. Disturbing doesn't begin to describe it.

I guess jtstang really doesn't understand the part about fans getting pissed, angry, and [deleted]. That's a normal part of the season. Yes, I was disappointed in the way the team played this year. I EXPECTED us to be better. When we don't meet those expectations, its EXPECTED that one would be frustrated. Yes, we are in my mind one of if not the worst teams in all of college football. I still question whether or not Bo Levi is the answer at QB, and no I don't know if June Jones is the man that's going to get it done here. But I do have hope and I do EXPECT things to get better. Does that mean I'm supposed to just throw my skirt up and take my ball and go home when it doesn't happen?

Look dude, I'm done arguing with you. This thread should be deleted. You said it yourself that you don't care if I don't think you are a fan or not so why don't you do something more productive than looking up my old posts for ammunition (which is really creepy anyway). You aren't going to convince me that you are a fan of SMU football and I'm not going to convince you that not having expectations is chicken sh*t. So let it be done.

EXPECTING improvement..... Gee. Thanks jtstang! You are a precious little one aren't you? I said BEFORE the season started that I didn't EXPECT us to win many games and that I would evaluate the sesaon on improvement and whether or not we were a better team in Week 11 than Week 4. There is no question that we are better now than we were early in the season. Look dude, some people don't have the stomach or the sac to be fans. That's why we have observers. Its no big deal chief.

Wow. Just WOW. It is very unsettling to know there are people like you roaming the earth. Beyond disturbing. I HOPE and EXPECT to never actually encounter you. But then again since you're not a fan I shouldn't have to worry about it.

It's easy (and fun) to hang somebody with their own words. You'll get better at it when you grow up Obama.

Actually the real Obama is a class act and you know nothing of class so I am going to have to change your nickname. From now on your ponyfan nickname is Lumpy.

StallionsModelT wrote:Playing a national powerhouse instead of Collin County Community College and Texas State in nonconference. Gee your right. I'm sorry. Lets continue to play a JV schedule.

Never get why so many SMU fans enjoy kicking themselves in groin repeatedly. Look, there is a generally accepted way of building a program and it includes playing a soft schedule. The only team I can think of that was a perennial loser that succeeded with loading up on a nonconference schedule is Rice in 2006. To wit, I might add that (i) if SMU had won that game, they would not have; and (ii) it was not by the head coach's choice as evidenced by the fact that they scheduled their first I-AA team since 1993 the very next year.

But, hey, lets just keep kicking ourselves in the balls. May be we can schedule LSU to a Home and away where we play @ LSU, @ LSU, @ LSU, Home, but don't expect LSU to show up for that game. It is a lot like the A&M series, there are some morons on this board that still think A&M actually intended to play a game at Ford. Maybe that game will be played in the CottonBowl or Jerryworld, but never at Ford Stadium.

F'ing nonsense.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
