well the AD did say he wanted to make a hire before the season ended but they were mainly going after coaches who currently werent already under employment

Kansas State is a tough place to win, but by no means impossible. Hell the Big 12 North is extremely mediocre. A coach of his pedigree could make them into a top contender for the Big 12 title in very short time.

BUT it is possible that TCU was aware of Patterson's definite interest in the job and basically said-if you're going get it over with so we can get our own guy in place as soon as possible.

Frog fans are in denial. First Fran left them without so much as a reach around and now Patterson appears to be leaving MID-SEASON. If true, no wonder they have an inferiority complex.
