According to Stallion, PJ would have been a disaster here.

GT's last 6 years?? Something like 3-3 in BOWL GAMES....not bad work, if you can get it.

Haha - not even close. I think PJ would have been a great hire here (not that JJ isn't a great hire). Stallion thinks he would have been horrible. In fact, according to Stallion, the only reason why he is doing well at GT is because he inherited a great defense.

right but no fewer than 7 wins in any season it's not as though there was nothing there to work with

If he beats UGA, Ga Tech will be happy with their hire.

The announcers on the game last night were wondering why more teams don't run PJ's offense given his success. Maybe because they aren't PJ-the guy can flat coach and would have done very well here no doubt.

No doubt SMU's talent level would compare very favorably with GT's talent level...right. Does anyone really think we have the RB's and OL to produce a running option style offense? And then there is our defense... There is a reason PJ wasn't interested in SMU. I'm just surprised JJ was interested other than that he loves a challenge...and there probably wasn't a bigger one around...and $2 mil a year.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
