The video on the espn site does not show anything to get excited about. All of his tackles are hang on and wait, he didnt blow anyone up and he never really showed any closing speed, save on the one play he caught the guy from behind.

Some of the videos I've seen seem to bear that out. Here's a scouting report that may explain why teams aren't junmping on him with offers. http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiti ... Id%3d55846
The 4.4 is verified because I was standing next to the coach when he was timed in the spring. In no way does this kid know my affiliation. Keep this in mind, he played DB for two years because Flower Mound was OK at safety and he also played only his senior year at WR.
This stupid thing reads like they are wanting the absolute finished product. He can flat out play and he can help somebody. Just like Cole Loftin did.
Admittedly, I am high on this kids. But he can help somebody. He's white -- that's his problem. If a black kid had these flaws, it would be overlooked and the recruiters would say they can work around that.
It's not racism. It's reality.
And if these guys are being this critical, why did one service rate him 3 stars.
Politics and BS at work again.

Its a conspiracy against white people. All I can say is he doesn't look ANYTHING close to a 4.4 guy on multiple film I've seen, doesn't look like he has great closing speed or great agility-kinda like the ESPN Scouting Report. Call me a racist. Apparently most all the College Coaches are racist too because most teams are slow-playing the kid. He'll probably get a shot somewhere but he ain't a "top" recruit-he's one of those kids you slow-play and offer if the guys you really want don't commit.

I watched the video and did the 1 mississippi timing method. I got to 5 missi...... so I think 4.4 is about right but it could be 4.45.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand

Hopefully, General Abandon the Ship and his NAAWP can turn their attention to the blatant discrimination against White RBs none of which have had a 1,000 season in the NFL since Craig James about 25 years ago.

You go with the film on the internet. I'll go with what I saw in person.
And it's nice of some people on this board to overblow the racism comment. But that's fine. Do what you gotta do and if you feel better being nasty about this observation, then enjoy being you.

A kids offers are the best indicator as to what kind of prospect he is. It doesn't always translate though. Blake Gideon started as a true freshman at Texas and had offers from Texas and Rice. He was also a two star guy with Rivals. Odds are he'll be a four year starter at one of the top programs in the country. But he is the exception and not the rule.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Yeah but Blake Gideon committed 11 months before signing date to one of the best programs in the country. I'm pretty sure he would have picked up more offers. He's part of the early commitment exception to the general rule.

While I'd like to see some data, it's not a forgone conclusion that there's no such thing as prejudice, conscious or not, against white players who wish to play black-dominated positions. And the Hitler comment was completely uncalled for.
Having said all that, my gut feeling is that the majority of you are right and that this kid simply lacks what it takes to be a top recruit at that position.

Runing a 4.4 timed is much different than actually being out on the field. It takes a different type of athleticism to turn the hips and re-accellerate after a backpedal.

Potentially, but then ask the politically motivated RIVALS people why he got 3 stars. Based on the comments from the video recruiting experts, he should be 2 stars.
He has an offer from Wake Forest, an ACC school. Now, I don't where it stands these days. But if we're talking about an offer from an ACC school, that should stand for something.
But the video recruiting experts will say otherwise.
