Oh the optimism on that day. Only to squelched by reality 9 months later...

When will we ever be good again?

I am still optimistic (though I have no expectations). It seems JJ is improving the caliber of recruits. Time will tell but we do seem to be attracting a few more athletes than in the recent past. We did complete in a few games and JJ is showing our players that discipline is part of the program. Are we BSC bound? Probably not yet but are we at this point showing signs of improvement, yes.

He will have 2 years left after sitting out a year wherever he decides to go.

Yes, if JJ continues to get the caliber of player he's entertaining these days. Worry not, my friend: We're not the shining exception.

Is that another way of saying just be patient and wait a few more years?

I had intended to keep my old sig pic until today (or tomorrow) -

But the Rose Bowl got in the way, and Pete and the girls had to be up for a week. But 51 weeks of June, Orsini, and the real "Jerry Maguire" (Leigh Steinberg... okay we only see part of his head, but ... he's there) ain't too shabby.

Well it's really a way of saying that you can't expect to win until you have several solid classes under your belt.

I think we're saying the same thing. Unfortunately.
