so what are you saying? People who go to LaTech and TX Tech can't be successful? My current boss went to LaTech, one of the best business minds I've ever worked for, and my sister went to TX Tech - she is doing very well.

about a year ago my sister's job moved her to New Orleans and things are going very well for her there. Not everyone can live in your Shangra-La of Farmers Branch

We don't need outsiders to hammer SMU, we have enough of the "enemy within" to kick our teeth in on a daily basis. Wouldn't want to be in a fox hole, with back stabbers like you.

I've get off your high horse if I were you. Congratulations for having just as many winning seasons this decade as Louisiana Monroe.

U are right. U obviously have your program moving in the right direction & it was a terrible thing to say. As I pass through Ruston every year on my way to Destin we always make it a mandatory stop @ Chick Fila & I always think about what a great place this would be to live or spend 4 years of my life.

You must have had a relative go there or something. Yes, anyone can succeed from anywhere. You can become a CEO after going to community college. What is the point of having universities? I guess it doesn't matter! Let's all go to El Centro!

Have you ever been to New Orleans? You are embarrassing yourself. A coworker just got back from visiting his uncle in Bogota, Columbia. The uncle has a very nice place and is doing very well. Would you want to live in Bogota?

This is a tough loss. Obviously, the guy wanted to stay close to home, can't blame him for that. But it is a tough loss because the one area this class is lacking in is linebacker.

Could we have backed off on this player or told him he would be a gray shirt? It is not always the player not wanting us.

Dallas... no question about it. Have you ever smelled the paper mill in Monroe?!?!

Thanks. Sounds like most of your fans here have a pretty good head on their shoulders.

Although it was pretty cool winning a local bowl game, I think that much more of this has to do with what Dooley is building here even before the bowl game. Last year we had 5 of the LA top 75 recruits after only getting 1 in JB3's last year. This year we have 11 of the top 75 commited (we'll see who signs as we have one guy that's flirting with Nebraska and Mizzou). I'll be quite impressed if we hang on to all these guys come Feb. 4th.

One of the very first things that Coach Dooley talked about in his hiring press conference was that he was going to draw a 5 hour radius around Ruston and that's where you'll see us bringing in our recruits. He has kept his word and almost every commit we have is within that radius (if not all of them). He has raided south LA of those recruits that will normally go to TCU, SMU, Rice, Tulsa, etc that we've been losing recruits to. We'll be lucky to hold onto Dooley for 2 more years and it will be because he will go somewhere and easily triple his salary. Hopefully by then, we'll have a solid foundation and the next coach can continue what he's starting.

Hope to be seeing you guys in CUSA here VERY soon.

Dooley has the right approach & its paying off in the W column.
Also, just a thought, but JJ probably shouldn't be sending recruits over to Moody to watch our BB team play until after they have signed on the dotted line.
