MEET THE MUSTANGS: DE Margus HuntRecruiting season is full of questions and full of players who evoke optimism and excitement in their teams' fans. Perhaps no player has caused more excitement - and raised more questions - than new SMU defensive end Margus Hunt, who will try to use his otherworldly athletic ability to become a perhaps-dominant defensive end.

I think Hunt is eerily similar to James Casey, the Rice player who played FB, QB, TE, DE, and every other position imaginable. Casey was an older guy who had played minor league baseball, but was a freak of an athlete. His nickname was Thor I think.
That is awesome - hard to imagine anything topping that. For those who care, Hunt will wear No. 99 in spring workouts. PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Thanks, Webguys - once again, the kind of story we've come to expect from your site and nowhere else.
Getting the testimonials from the track and strength coaches was very insightful. Can't wait to see this kid suit up.
I hope he gets to keep the number! It keeps the Karmic channels open that he'll follow in the footsteps of another post-soviet late bloomer: ![]() (A kid can dream can't he?) -CoS
Wouldn't he make a good offensive lineman?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Perhaps, but there is a lot more to learn to be a good OL than there is to be a great DE or even a great DT. Defense is more instinct and power whereas offense requires a lot of technique and memorizing plays...a lot to ask out of someone who has never played football. For a big fast DE, just point him towards the QB and yell "KILL". ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Great Story,
Guys and Dolls RELAX a bit. He might be a player but we can not get too excited. At least he will help for size and depth on the d-line. He will be that good and maybe more. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
