Michigan quarterback Steven Threet says he has been given his release from the school and plans to transfer.

he's a MI kid - will probably end up at one of the directional Michigan schools if he doesn't go I-AA (FCS for you purists)

I would think since he's already sat one one season due to transfer, that he would probably go to a FCS school to play immediately.
