Last year WR recruit, 6'6" E.J. Drewery, came in during the summer and showed some talent during workouts. Yet Coaches decided a redshirt year would be best for Drewery's maturity etc. Any information on whether Coaches think he has a chance to make the 1st or 2nd team WR rotation this year ?

let's just hope he's a player who can help in certain situations this year and is ready to be a go to guy by his RS Soph year (to fill the void Sanders is going to leave
Haynes is another guy with some size who could still be around for 3 more years
Would be nice to have some big targets for possession and end zone situations

I assume you mean Quincey when you say little guy from Cuero - he's transferring out, I believe to TX State.

From what I hear, he thought he would be playing a bigger role and when he didn't get that last year playing on scout, he was very disappointed. Also, just doesn't like SMU plain and simple.

He was a small 2 star receiver/rb. What big role did he think he was going to have? Like Jared Dubois, he couldn't take the heat so he bailed. We don't want guys like him anyway. We need competitors. Good luck to him wherever he goes.
As for the topic of this thread, I can't wait to see Drewery on the field. I think he'll be a player.

Where he came from, he was the [deleted] and he came in with that sort of attitude and perspective of himself, was proved wrong and decided to go elsewhere basically.

Check his resume. Being a fiji it would be interesting to see if he was involved in not wanting the ATOs and KAs.......anyway.

Who else was a redshirt last year? There was Nwangwu . Is that it? Did we play somewhere around 22 true freshman?

The LB that originally committed to Okie St, then had the scholly pulled. Forgot his name. He will be a redshirt freshman this year. I've seen him at a few basketball games. He looks like he has taken advantage of the weight room. Victor Jones...I think.
