SMU announced yesterday that Nigel Smith has left the team for "personal reasons" but said he would stay on campus to continue his academic work. No other reason for his departure was given.

Let's all hope he gets everything straightened out and comes back to the team when he's ready.

What does this do to the rotation on the inside? I guess Jon Forinash will get more minutes, and it's more crucial than ever that DeWayne Floyd and Jibran Kelley stay out of foul trouble. Thank goodness Mike Niemi came back from his injury.

This does nothing to our rotation down low. Dement NEVER played Nigel. When he did get in a game, Dement never gave him time to do anything.

I wish the best for Nigel, and hope he can return.
