2009 LB recruit from Pago Pago reporting with the other freshmen ? I remember JJ saying a few months ago that if this guy played in the States he would probably be a 5 Star recruit.

Hawaii's 2009 recruit from American Samoa (Joey Iosefa of Fagaitua High) is grayshirting...I wouldn't be surprised if Beck does the same.

He will probably be going to a prep school.

I heard that he made a solid SAT score, and that his major difficulty will be that English is a second language for him. I've been hearing all along that the probability was that we were going to hide him at some sort of prep school. Now I'm hearing murmurs of cautious optimism.

I really hope we can hold onto this guy if he is indeed going to prep school for a year. He looks like an absolute monster and won some kind of award at one of the Nike Camps(Oregon?) as I remember. We need as many Polynesians as we can get. Some of the toughest, most athletic guys out there. Great teammates also

Hope so, too. From what I've heard about him, we'll be hard-pressed to keep him if he gets sent to a prep school or JUCO. Supposedly he's in a class that will have most of the PAC-10 and other major programs chasing him.

Unless USC comes calling, I think with JJ at SMU, he'll feel at home here
