Jones and Coaching Staff Are No-Shows at THSCAisn't this the second time this has happened? I really have trouble with understanding what could be so important that SMU did not have any presence at the THSCA convention

June Jones on twitter on Sunday:
I will also note that I recall the same article was written last year and I also recall that June Jones was, in fact, there last year as well. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Remember coaching school was a week early. It's not like all these coaching staffs are farting around all summer. Yeah, I'm sure they got enough advance notice that this was coming but there is such a thing as last-minute and unavoidable conflicts.
Besides, I'm more concerned with our staff getting into the high schools and developing the relationships with those staffs this way. What I also hope is happening is that Jones and his staff are entertaining HS staffs from across the state to show them how they run their offense. That happens a lot in this profession and that goes a long way toward relationship building. I think those two elements are more important than coaching school. Just my opinion.
The article actually says:
Sounds to me like nobody from SMU chose to speak to the media at a press conference to the convention. Boo hoo. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Non story. But thanks Stallion. Maybe your buddy Todd Dodge will be down there and we can swap coaches! We'd hate to "rue the day!"
Back off Warchild seriously.
Further evidence that failing to participate int eh press conference does not mean that there was not a presence: Houston, per the quote, did not show, either, but Kevin Sumlin gave a lecture on teh 21st at 2PM per the program.

So if June Jones chose to spend time talking to a HS coach and missed his one opportunity to be quoted in the Gun Barrel City gazette, I could care less.

I know he won't be welcome at Lone Oak High School that's for damn sure!!! I love how Stallion takes insignificant cow farts like this. Just his true colors shining through.
Back off Warchild seriously.
The THSCA certainly didn't get much coverage in the DMN or the Chronicle, aside fromt he game and the hall of fame.
Now having firmly established that this article is irrelevant, let's just move along. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
You may have noticed also that George S. "the sky is falling" Patton was quick to chime in on Stallion's woeful post. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Is this a quiz or what? what is the THSCA or whatever? Who cares? Not the particpants, I'm sure they are out by the swimming pool at the Holiday Inn drinking beer or looking for a job, then they have a go at the Gilded Cage or whatever after that.
Stallion's title is wrong.
June Jones was at the convention, he just was a no-show at the convention press conference. C-ya @ Milos!
