Re: A new wrinkle to the offense?Last year BLM had enough trouble putting in the regular offense. It was a good idea to let someone else worry about "special" plays.

Re: A new wrinkle to the offense? In reference to SMU not having a tight-end...actually, this year, they have a senior tight-end who was All-State in high school on a state-championship runnerup team...Mario Walker. He has only played sparingly off special teams because Vincent Chase was ahead of him during Bennett and Jones didn't use one but what, maybe 6-10 plays last year...but he can both block and catch. I think any "Wild Mustang" (redundant) plays would be well-served by him.
I know Jones is run/shoot; however, I really like Tulsa's offense. It's multiple, can utilize any variety of players, and shows flexibility by coaches who know how to get the most out of their players. I hope that Jones is open-minded to that variety...I think it could be a game-saver where time needs to come off of the clock. "Moderation in all things, and especially in Absoluts [vodka]." Re: A new wrinkle to the offense?coach Jones used the Nevada Pistol on a few occasions. The Rb aligns further back for better view and running angles but then you need a Rb who is quicker to set up to block for the qb which is his primary responsibility in the run and shoot.
Re: A new wrinkle to the offense?Isn't "wild mustang" redundant?
