Judging by his less than educated qoute ... I would agree.

Funny. I don't think anyone "axed" you for your opinion.

Funny, because I dont care what you think... trashy bum

I would like to ask that we ignore the D2 trash that has shown up from perhaps the lowest ranked school in the state. I am sure that we could look all day and find some schools in Texas that have lower academic standards. However, when you finish below Jarvis Christian, Texas College, Prairie View A&M, TAMU Commerce, Lamar, and UT Pan Am then you know you have specific academic issues that need addressing.

As for your football standing, your wins came against Langston, Kentucky Wesleyan, Nicholls, and Southeastern Louisiana.
 Langston is an NAIA school. Think NCAA D3 only not as good. They played a prep school last year. This year you have replaced Langston with Texas College. Another school that is an NAIA school and they are part of the same freaking league as SW Assemblies of God in Waxahachie! Did anyone even know that this school existed and whether it is capable of beating the Indians over at the High School?
 Kentucky Weslyan - D2 School that actually beat 2 other D2 schools but also got hammered by the Georgetown Junior Varsity squad 56-0.
 Nicholls - The 8 time NCAA FCS National Champions were a huge win for SFA. Just kidding about the prowess of Nicholls. At least it was a win against a FCS opponent.
 SE LA - Your 2nd big win of the year against a FCS opponent. The Mud Dogs just ain't the same after the Waterboy left and Coach Klein lost his manhood again.

So I politely ask one more time to please ignore these annoying but less fortunate SFA fans. I am sure that deep down they mean well but due to a lack of proper academic instruction and years of complete football obscurity they appear uncouth to us big city folks. Remember, they only get to visit the big city every so often so they tend to make Houston fans look like the salt of the earth.

Hey lets talk about SMU's wins last season.

1. ( Best, only win) Texas State. A div 1AA school. Havent won a conference game in 2 years ( i think ). Love to talk about how this is going to be the year of improvement. Little hint, you cant get anymore worse. Only one way to go but up. Buy hey, just keep talking about how much better your 1-11 team is. Maybe SMU should schedule a Langston. Shoot for the stars SMU. 2 wins isnt impossible.

2. O wait, you only won 1 game last year. Means you have a 8.34% chance of winning a game over the last 2 years. Holy cow. Your pathetic. Conference USA is laughing at you.

Wow, I just looked at SFA's scores from the last two years.

They didn't even win a game in 07, even against lower division teams.

If we don't win by a margin of 4 touchdowns we should consider it a loss and a huge warning sign, because man, they suck even for a DII team.

Since there is no debate on the quality of your academics, I guess you concede this point. Now that we have settled that, let's go to your 2 stellar points of rebuttal.

1. Texas State- Glad you brought that up. SMU 47-Texas State 36. SFA 21-Texas State 62. Enough said on that subject. I will let you do the math and tell us why your team is so much better.

2. Not sure what you are trying to say here. Are you referencing the 1 win last year or are you making my academic argument for me. Let me correct your 2nd point:
"Oh wait, you only won 1 game last year. This meant you had an 8.34% chance of winning a game over the last 2 years. Holy cow, you are pathetic. Conference USA must be laughing at you."

At least we are only being laughed at for our current prowess in football as opposed to your obvious lack of intelligence. Good coaching and recruiting can fix the football problem we have. Unfortunately for you, stupidity is permanent.

1st of all, there is NO EXCUSE for anyone to stay seated for 30 minutes...even for the post death penalty SMU Mustangs. I assume you do not mean 30 consecutive minutes. Do they sell SMU seat cushions at Ford? Those, and emergency rain parkas...should be essential gameday merchandise.

My god, this a forum not a thesis. I get that you enjoy grading my post. Another reason I believe you are pathetic due that you fall back to notifying me about common errors. So hide behind this website and hopefully choke on your grammar pride. There will be a bunch of us at the vard. Hopefully not everyone will be as big of a [deleted] as you.

Dang, I hope they don't give us a good game, or  beat us.

Their former AD, Coach McCarty, to me led us to the district championship in his first year out of
college. Course it was the Forest Park Jr. High Eagles out of Longview.
May the forth be with us.

I love Ford Stadium, but I hate the age challenged SMU fans. I will never forget last year during homecoming when some old man called me an a-hole for standing up and cheering when SMU did something good.

I'm a season ticket holder and this geezer showed up for one game a year and was SHOCKED that people were loud and stood up when good things happened...maybe he was just shocked good things were happening...and then they didn't :(

3/4 of the students leave at halftime. Some of we "aged challenged" do stand and cheer. Clean off that broad brush and trim it up. It is not just the old folks in the stadium that do not know how to cheer. Maybe a winning atmosphere will help everyone remember how it should be done.

We've never met mrydel, but I don't picture you as age challenged. This was a stereotypical blue hair, and it still pisses me off thinking about it. It's a football game, people should cheer.

SMU crowds suck in general, it goes across all age groups. This guy was an [deleted] for no reason. I'm not painting any group with a label, just this one guy.

Trust me, I am aged challenge. And I understand what you are saying because I see it every game. But I see it from all ages. Half the kids around me stay on their cell phones either talking or texting throughout the game. The only time they perk up is if a UT score is announced. Winning should definitely help people remember how to cheer. My goodness, no one has been able to witness a victory over a real team in 2 years. And not many times in the last 10. A lot of the older crew probably goes to the games for a Saturday afternoon nap and you disturbed them. Let's win some games and maybe there will be more cheering when the old cats can recall the good old days again.

I tend to sit in a group of people who are rather noisy. God help the fool that tells us to be quiet.
