Game PresentationModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Game PresentationThought it was a step in the right direction. Nice opening with the band and Star Spangled Banner. No annoying rap throughout the game. Journey made a nice appearance, although the chorus got wiped by the kickoff.
Speakers actually need to be turned up and that distortion/interference needs a fix. PA guy was okay, although could not hear him for many plays.
Re: Game Presentationkiss cam right after we score to take the lead. Complete buzz kill. Can we just get rid of that bit?
Re: Game PresentationExcuse me? Worst game presentation ever. Had a broken speaker making scratchy noises in our ears in section 203 half the game. Not to mention its so loud there half the people have their fingers in their ears. Also playing the pony up song on repeat in the concession and enterance areas the whole time?? Not to mention the announcer. Emelio Sanders? Highest attendance? when the stadium is 60 % full. Not to mention all the other bonehead things he said that made so sense. Zach Kline?
Pathetic in my opinion. Same as always.
Re: Game PresentationNot to mention the whole White-out and Sellout thing? I knew the starium wouldnt be but 3/4 full at most. its not a sellout when a few wealthy alum bought the rest of the tickets and nobody sat in them? And the white-out thing against an FCS team is so pathetic. Especially when , other than the students, nobody wore white anymore than they usually do... what were they thinking
Re: Game PresentationI can take or leave the Kiss Cam thing, but no matter what "bit" is put up there, can we stop showing people in opposing shirts? Seeing SFA fans on our board was just wrong.
Re: Game PresentationI enjoyed the white out on the BLVD very much. Scenery was incredible. Inside the stadium...whatever. At least a good majority of the students attempted it before the left at halftime. If we ever try it again, let's go for a red or blue out since that is the color of the bleachers. Might actually work.
Re: Game PresentationI will say the fact that we can only drum up the same 4 games for the scoreboard update is pathetic. Most cell phones can scroll through the whole list in a few seconds.
Re: Game PresentationI would have liked an occasional update from the OU-BYU game since there was a major upset brewing. Yes, I can get the score on my phone but showing it on the big screen or having the PA guy announce it might have actually gotten a rise out of the crowd. The occasional Alabama-VA Tech update wouldn't have hurt either. A "top 25" score update/CUSA update can't be that difficult.
Re: Game Presentationmaybe you guys didn't hear this but I was sitting right under a speaker and for 20 minutes straight you could hear sympony music loudly bleading over the speaker. I'm not making this up. I think someone had PBS on. Am I the only one to hear this. Worst Game Presentation ever in the history of College Football.

Re: Game PresentationI heard that - thought it might have been a tip of the hat to the average age in the stadium club.... - combined with what was going on at the field -- it felt like a twilight zone episode.
Of course to top it off - there was the "alien mind melt" sceech that went on for another ten minutes right after that. I am dumbfounded by what comes out of that speaker.
Re: Game Presentation
Yup. In the stadium club bathroom the classical music was going with a the announcer barely coming through. Just thought it was a stadium club mix up. Pathetic!
Re: Game PresentationCouldn't get out there and had to listen to the game on The Ticket. Rich Phillips did a good job as usual but I was confounded that no one was able to tell the sideline guy that the name is Shawnbrey, not Shawn Berry. He has contact with the rest of the production crew right?
Re: Game PresentationI also heard the "mind-melting screech", and it had people in my section plugging their ears. What's with never playing music now? I mean, I guess it's better than in the past when they'd only play music when the band started to play....but...all the dead silence also had everyone around me yawning. If fans are yawning in the 4th quarter with a tight score, they're not doing enough to get people pumped up. Instead of music, they played advertisements....greeeaaaat, SMU.
Re: Game PresentationOther Game Presentation notes:
- Awful "Defense" chant by what sounded like sorority girls. - Supposedly, the video guy lost the DVD that was going to play at halftime for the 1989 team. - Scoreboard has too many lights that are out. - Awful scratchy sound emanating from the speakers for what felt like 30 minutes. "show me de'm quicks - ER"
Re: Game PresentationI can only add that it was worse than usual. The announcer not only mispronounced our players names, he didn't announce our guys when they made tackles. Playing the Mark Cuban add before our kickoff was a downer - too many ads in general. Please get rid of the chick in the stands. She doesn't add much and she didn't even had a microphone that worked. I think the loudest cheer of the game was when they finally got the feedback cut off. The PA playing over the band is very irritating. I don't even know why they have the band there. With all the piped in music and advertisements, they never get to play.
