Postby couch 'em » Sun Sep 06, 2009 11:47 am

Just got to the boards but I haven't seen anyone discussing this:

I get Rivals and just read that DJ has broken his collarbone and will be scanned again Tuesday for more detail. If it's only a hairline he could be out 4-5 weeks and back. Not good news but we will know more on Tuesday.

According to Darius Johnson's Facebook status, the true freshman has a broken collar bone. As below:

we ain't going anywhere this year anyway-since he hasn't played more than 20% of the games he is eligible for redshirt IF his injury is really season ending and have 4 full years.

I saw Darius Johnson's last play before he went out of the game. He had to almost dive for a low pass that went in the turf. I agree with Stallion, we should petition for a medical redshirt (like Cole Lofton) and save him for next season.

Great. That means Cole Bealey will play more and drop the only passes BLM seemed to throw accurately

So we lose darius for several weeks and possibly the season because of a crappy blm throw? Nice.

Maybe good news now that DMN reports this AM that DJ may only have bruised his shoulder...that would be a blessing. We will find out on Tuesday for certain...
