as bad as we played, we are at least 1-0. UTEP on the other hand the most overrated team in the country in many polls lost to Turner Gill's Buffalo team. Great win by Buffalo but they lost their superstar QB Willy and then lost a great TB-forgot his name-and UTEP still lost at home. BTW the one great player UTEP has Trevor Vittatoe drove them the length of the field and threw an apparent winning TD pass but it was called back because of penalty. Now check the rest of their schedule and tell me where the victories are coming from. I think they are the 3rd best team in CUSA West but that loss will hurt their bowl chances. SMU, Tulane and Rice showed little signs of a pulse in Week 1.

Buffalo beat UTEP last year 42-17 in the first game. Buffalo went 8-6
