Not today he wasn't — it was on his right arm, and he said he had been wearing the sleeve on his right (throwing) arm since he experienced some discomfort in his throwing elbow during preseason camp.

I went back and watched the video highlights. He was wearing the sleeve on his LEFT arm. Maybe his first miss of the night was when he put the sleeve on the wrong arm...oooh, too soon?

All joking aside, I noticed his bad mechanics and made the same comment BLM did about tossing the ball rather than throwing it. I have had days on the softball field where I made a few bad throws early, and I let it get to me. I started over analyzing everything and played like crap the rest of the game (thought about rolling it to 1st a few times). The next game I was fine. With a week of practice to settle in and a 'sleeve here' tattoo on his right elbow, BLM should be much better...I hope.

I'm not arguing that ... but today at practice, it definitely was on his right arm.

sleeve on the right throwing arm because the elbow is hurting, is that not an excuse after a game in which a lot of Ponyfans state that he did not have a good game. He wore a sleeve on the left during the game and in practice, so why not wear a sleeve on both arms if he wore it on the left for a reason and now needs it for his right elbow which is ailing. Interesting. But I still do believe that the Ponies can win 6 games and come to the Hawaii Sheraton Bowl in December.

PonyPride does he have big hands, or at least his right hand? :) :)

Was he still wearing the glove on his throwing hand? Not sure I've seen a QB wear a glove....even in games when it is raining or very cold.

Um ... can't say I've measured or anything, but his hands look pretty normal-sized to me.

(And down n out: surely, when listing QBs who threw with a glove, you weren't forgetting the supremely forgettable Danny Wuerffel, were you?)

Bo's hands are above average. He does not need the glove, but prefers it as well as the sleeve. As far as mechanics, I understand alot of adjustments have been made. He will be fine and by the end of the season, you haters will all but have forgotten about the second tier folks. Especially the transfer. He has worked his butt off and deserves to be where he is. He has all the tools necessary to run the offense, including the smarts and it will show as the season progresses. He also has the mental toughness to do the job and not dwell on the negative. In my opinion, he is a major asset to this program. I can assure you regardless of what happens, he will not quit! Bo represents the school very well and is excited to be there. You will not be reading any negative press about him off the field. From where I sit, he is as solid and mature of college kid there is.

I hope you are right. But one thing as a reminder that you probably already know, with the QB position comes the most praise when things are going well and the most criticism when things are not going well. It is part of the territory (especially on the D1A level). Get used to it either way. Glad he has a thick skin.
