I think we should all refrain from thinking that WSU is some cupcake, rent-a-win, and hope that the team treats them as if we were playing TCU. Truth be told, WE were the rent-a-win when WSU signed us to play them. We are SMU. We are the same team that barely beat SFA. I hope the team remembers that and keeps the frickin chip on their shoulder. Beat WSU, TCU and then ECU, and then we can start talking about other teams "not being that good" compared to us! :!:

I expect SMU to see a running game they have not seen this year. I expect WSU to use that running game to set up multiple high risks high reward (trick) plays. I expect WSU to take chances on 4th down.

I expect WSU to minimize SMU's best defensive accomplishment (interceptions) by work in play action to short and intermediate routes.

I expect WSU to utilize multiple line stunts and blitzes to confuse a young SMU line.

I expect WSU to use a variety of coverages and disguise those coverages more than BLM has seen this year.

I expect WSU to limit our opportunities on special teams (kick away from certain returners). I expect WSU to take chances on special teams.

I expect WSU to utilize every asset to win this game and to use these assets to minimize our strengths and limit our opportunities. And to try and out coach Jones.

I expect a real hard played game and that we have to show marked improvement over our previous efforts to win.

I don't think Washington State is a well-coached team. Wulff's Eastern Washington team was NOT one of the best I-AA programs when he was there. In fact, Wulff's record at EWU was 53-40 in 8 seasons.

That being said, we CANNOT make more mistakes than the Cougars make, or we will lose.

One could argue that we didn't have particularly good coaching under Caven and Bennett. Yet one seemed to find a way to beat Arkansas and the other screwed up once and beat TCU.

What a coincidence! Baylor played Washington State in Waco last year. Baylor won 45-17.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

We are no Baylor, and from what I hear, Pullman is no Waco.

Baylor sucked. Baylor was the basement of the Big XII. Baylor was a joke. Baylor played one good game against a conference opponent a year. A lot of people assumed we could play Baylor and win easily.

Baylor still beat us twice in close games.

We also had very marginal athletes then and less than average gameday coaching.

To say nothing of losing games they are supposed to lose.

No expectations people. Allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised if the outcome is a win. Saturday evening was quite pleasant.
