Re: Kevin Pope - Game UpdateMOUNT ENTERPRISE — Kevin Pope rushed for 175 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns to lead Mount Enterprise to a 35-0 win over Timpson Friday.
While Pope put on a show, the Wildcats' defense sang the same tune. Blake Chapman and D.T. Bryant combined for three interceptions to help increase Mount Enterprise's record to 5-1 overall and 1-1 in District 19-A. Shannon Davis had two catches for 98 yards — including an 87-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Larry Solomon had 166 yards and two touchdowns. Grant Grubbs nabbed 67 of those yards with four receptions and a touchdown. The Wildcats pounded Timpson in every quarter from the backfield, racking up 256 total rushing yards on 38 carries. Bryant capped off the win with a 4-yard touchdown run. Mount Enterprise will continue action against Waskom at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Waskom. http://www.dailysentinel.com/sports/content/sports/stories/2009/10/03/roundup.html ... _ _ .._
