That is really going to get the team, the under 30 alums and the students really pumped up!!

(By the way, in the song the lyrics are "a PONY named Wildfire")

Consider me one of the 30 then. I love that song.

What about if they played the Osmond Brothers' classic, "Crazy Horses"? That would fit better.

We are such a Mickey Mouse operation, which of course, is an insult to Mickey Mouse.

If this team rattles off a bunch of wins in a row and June decides he wants to follow the new Mustang, Peruna, and the team onto the field riding a Clydesdale while wearing the fake Peruna mascot uniform and carrying a surfboard to the theme music from Magnum P.I., I think I'd be OK with it.

I think it would be a better idea if June Jones kept his nose out of this, worked on rebuilding the football program in all phases and then followed followed Peruna out onto the Gerald J. Ford playing surface.

Instead of Michael Martin Murphy singing some 70s cheesey pop ballad, I think it would be more appropriate to get Jack Ingram to sing "Mustang Burn" at halftime since that is what we are doing to our traditions.
Also, if you are taking a wild horse, cutting off his balls, breaking his spirit and giving him some sequined cowgirl rider, the horse would have been better off if you put it out of its misery and burned it.
