Postby ALEX LIFESON » Sun Oct 11, 2009 5:33 pm

SUNDAY AFTER ECU...THIS GAME WAS THE ULTIMATE IN TEAM WINS...EACH PHASE OF THE TEAM CONTRIBUTED TO THE WIN, SPECIAL TEAMS, DEFENSE AND THE OFFENSE SCORING TOUCHDOWNS...3 - 2 AND 2 -0 IN CUSA...HALF WAY TO HAWAII BOWL...AS YOU WATCH THE TAPE THE SINGL...E MOST IMPRESSIVE THING IS THE PASSION THAT OUR KIDS PLAYED WITH...ECU IS MORE TALENTED RIGHT NOW BUT OUR KIDS WOULD NOT BE DENIED....NEXT UP THE MIDSHIPMEN OF NAVY....

Good summation. The kids found a way to win. Not a perfect game which is good! In the past, we needed perfect to win. Now the kids are finding a way to win despite imperfection. That is a vast improvement.

Why are they only talking about the Hawaii Bowl? Do they not want to play for the CUSA championship with a chance to go to the Liberty Bowl?

Guess not. We're 0-2 or 2-0 in conference play?

If you want to run a marathon, your first goal is to run 5 miles, then 10, etc.

Once Hawaii bowl acheived (6/7 wins) then we can work towards higher goal.

I hear you and every coaching staff sets its goals differently. Let's just make the goal for Saturday to beat Navy and pick up win No. 4.

Good point. Let's strive for 6-6 for the Hawaii Bowl. Can our cash strapped athletic department even afford to send the team to that game?

Not to kill the mood as I would be thrilled to go to ANY bowl. But....for those who spend time with family during Christmas, will need to do so in Hawaii. Game is at 3:00 on Dec. 24th Hawaii Time, which means Christmas in Hawaii.

Reinbold is awesome - he gave my 6 year old a football before the game. Greatness.

Speaking of cash strapped, how bad can it be that they can't turn the water on to flush the damn urinals. In stead they load each one up with some kind of disinfectant and not pay to flush the damn things. I have to assume they still allow the toilets to be flushed...but come on guys how expensive can it be to allow flushing of the urinals six days of the fall. That's pretty pathetic.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I don't think this is a cost thing - it's a "green" thing. I don't like it either.

Word on the street is that the lack of dilution water in building systems is causing built up ammonia to erode PVC prematurely... yay being "green"
