I have to say that the tears for me came today, waking up and realizing that we had really done it. The final drive by UTEP was bizarre, because my brain was trying so hard to tell me that we would lose, but all I really felt was a kind of serene, "this is the moment" sensation, I was marveling at the noise level, LOVING the fact that Vic and the players were motioning for the fans to stand, but if they had just turned around they would have realized that all the fans were standing. Ford was alive and I knew we were going to hold on.

Being on the pitch was magic, though it is strange the way the invasion happened in such a delayed and orderly fashion. I went over the wall (it's higher than I thought) and the security guy was not really happy but I didn't care. I had to get down and touch the turf.

Now let's go and beat Marshall. That's all I will think about now, that and reliving yesterday.

God Bless All the Mustangs, where-ever they may be.

Wow. Glad to see I'm not the only one. I got choked up and fought tears when we won. And then again on the ride away from SMU. Beautiful win!

I made a last minute decision to drive to Dallas and take my 7-year-old son to the Bball game Friday and the Fball game Saturday. It was an awesome weekend!!!!

I certainly Did, this is my third year here at SMU, and going from two 1 win seasons to bowl eligibility has been quite an exhilarating turn around. I know I haven't been through even half of the suffering many of you have endured, but yesterday really felt like a culture changing win.

It was hard to not imagine UTEP punching it in with about 30 seconds left, and us blowing a late lead, as has been a recurring problem in recent years. But when we made the that 4th down stop it was like an enormous weight lifted off our shoulders. I sat back in the student section as fans hurried to the guard rail to storm the field, and was just too emotional to do anything other than sit back and soak it all in. Quite a feeling.
