I don't want to [deleted] the other posters on this site off, but for those of you who couldn't be there, I'll give you a taste of what is was like today. The bandwagon must be in full swing because the place was packed. They actually took out the partition and made the room bigger and there still wasn't enough room. JJ was sick so the OC, DC, and Special Teams coach did the thing today and it was awesome. For those of you who keep saying how arrogant and what not these coaches are is mistaken. These coaches are very open and answers all questions honestly and with good humor. They also really know their X's and O's and can teach the hell out of it. I played college ball, and I learn new things sitting in on these things. They actually go through the reads, and show us the little nuances in technique that go into a play. You have to be there to truly appreciate what kind of coaching staff we have assembled here. I just have to say how awesome it was.
I don't really get the whole secrecy thing with everyone else, but like I said, I don't want to [deleted] them off, so I won't give anymore details beyond what I just mentioned. There are things we should never post, like complaints against the officials or conference(which the coaches didn't do), comments on recruits(also wasn't done), injury report(nothing said that we can't read in the paper), and secret plans for Marshall(also not done). If the whole thing is to keep it secret so people show up, shouldn't we also stop the game threads since we want people in the stands and not home reading the blog? Ok, got my rant for the day. If you live here in Dallas, go to one of these, and you will be impressed. For those who can't be here, sorry wish you were there.
One last thing. Whoever does the videos for these luncheons is awesome. You see everything! Much props to him(or her).

One of my tailgate friends came last week. Yesterday, he came back and another stayed over from Saturday and went back to Little Rock today. Heck, as good as we are feeling a 325 mile drive is worth doing to have lunch for this team.
Love what you said but that is all that needs to be said.

Stop the game threads? I know you are new to the board, but what are you smoking? We can listen on the internet radio, but we need to vent. Some of us live several thousand miles from Dallas, but I have rarely missed a game since the advent of the internet. I still have not been to a game in Ford Stadium. Despite the conventional wisdom in Dallas, it is not the center of the universe. Anyway, thanks for the report. I would give my left *** to be able to go to the lunches.

The X' and O'x stuff on video in how the offense and defense works (and the nuance as you say) works could be used against us. Also, they have in the past discussed personnel issues etc. That is why they asked us to not say anything. Some people will say more than others. So that is why they asked us all to keep it in the room. They do not keep in confidential so people will come. Glad you came.

Dennis McNight is a real trip, I thought he 'stole' the show for his off the wall comments, his humor, his always reference to Hawaii (like in Bowl game) !

I have a hard time making it over there but I went after the Rice game. It was WELL WORTH stopping by if you can make it. Extremely educational.
Also good networking opportunity if you like to glad-hand.
