Pack football: Nevada likes what it sees from SMU's rush defense

It didn't take long for Nevada running back Vai Taua to notice one particular statistic about SMU: rush defense.
The Mustangs, who will take on the Wolf Pack in the Hawaii Bowl at Honolulu on Dec. 24, allow 169.2 rushing yards per game and an average of 4.4 yards per carry.
Those aren't horrible numbers -- the per-game average is 88th out of 120 FBS teams -- but they're enough that Taua said it got him licking his chops.
