Why does McCann's SMU look photoshopped on? Is that how it looks in real life? I've never been close enough to see.
That's how he looks.
Interesting. Wonder if there's a story behind it.

I believe the "SMU" is embroidered on and as such it needs some thicker backing material behind it. I have a sweatshirt that is similar except that the material of the sweat shirt is thick enough and gray in color such that the white backing doesn't show through.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I vote to wear white at HOME games next year as often as we can.
Great look.

Ah, that makes sense.

I think home teams have to wear a color and away has to wear white. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe that is the general rule, but I think there are some exceptions and LSU comes to mind as I believe they wear a white jersy at home...at least they did for the Arkansas game at Tiger Stadium.

GO MUSTANGS!!
I like our chances to win this game. We play great ball when its hot and sunny. I'll be back home in Lebanon for Christmas, but hopefully I'll find some kind of feed to watch it on at 4 in the morning. Oh yeah, those jersies look sexy.

As I understand it, the home team can request to wear white, as long as the visitor complies. LSU traditionally wears white at home. Steve Spurrier said they could wear white, as long as his Gators could wear white at home the next year. LSU, used to wearing white pretty much all the time because of their 'away-at-home' tradition, pulled out some god-awful gold jerseys for that game, haha.
Also, an anecdote I found about LSU-Vandy:
The year was 1996 and DiNardo was in his second season as LSU coach after coming from Vanderbilt. The Tigers preferred to wear white jerseys at home instead of the standard dark and had an exemption from the rule as long as visiting teams agreed. On Oct. 5, Vanderbilt, none too happy DiNardo had left, was to play in Baton Rouge and would not agree to LSU's uniform request. So the Tigers wore gold jerseys, but Terri DiNardo had an idea. She told her husband that if the team couldn't wear white, the fans would.

Love the All-white uni's - THE STORM TROOPER LOOK!
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

I wouldnt mind it even if we switched to white socks with the white cleats for home games to I think its a much better look. But to me the shoes arent as big of an issue and I know June loves black in his uniforms, just look at everywhere he's been, but I have never been a fan of the black socks. I always enjoyed the look of the early ford days with the white socks and black cleats.
