But to me the shoes arent as big of an issue and I know June loves black in his uniforms, just look at everywhere he's been, but I have never been a fan of the black socks. I always enjoyed the look of the early ford days with the white socks and black cleats.

I like the black socks and cleats, white cleats just seem a bit too flashy, and maybe that is what june is going for. I love the Red Jerseys most by far, but the White will look great in the Hawaii Sun! Hopefully next year we wear the Blue Jerseys once? I don't recall us wearing them once this season.

I haven't seen the polo shirt in question, but do want to make a comment about the backing that might, or might not have been used, to embroider the SMU on the front. We own an embroidery store and there is NO reason for backing to show through the fabric---the only possibility I can think of is if the shirt is REALLY thin and cheaply made. There is an embroidery machine that doesn't use backing at all--which on a polo type shirt--would lead to a poor quality embroidered product (my opinion). If the shirt was of good quality and backing is truly showing, or no backing was used, the embroiderer had no clue what he/she was doing!

soccermon...the discussion was in regards to the white football jersey shown here where the backing for the "SMU" shows through on #6.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
