Somebody stop the effing ball. The easy looks are just insane

Whatever happened to the kinder, gentler, more player friendly Doherty he said he'd become after the UNC mutiny?

I cannot blame any one player. We have a coach who does not inspire, does not instill confidence, does not command focus, does not create a style of play that best utilizes the talents available....etc. No, our athletes are not good enough to compete at a high level; however, they should be able to play sound basic defense, run basic plays hit medium range jumpers, sink free throws, minimize turnovers....etc. Nothing is in sync. for this team.

McCoy and Williams hate passing

Is it because they think that no one else can get anything done? Honest question.

well said. We still need huge upgrades in talent, but it's all the other stuff that is going to get Doh fired. You just can't look this unprepared and street ball this often. There is nothing resembling organization happening on the floor

this is the kind of situation where you bench all the starters and put in the freshmen. Oops, we don't have a freshmen class this year.

possibly, but neither seem to play PG naturally. At the very least, you'd think they'd try and find spot up shooters like Clink & Robert

Williams has said f it and gone total street ball. McCoy has all but disappeared. Never heard an announcer rip a team so bad and pity it at the same time.

With 13:00 left in the 2nd. We are 0-10 from 3. We have 19 turnovers and are shooting 33% from the floor.
The one thing we usually suck at FT%, we are actually 7-8.

I'm not sure the pieces in the SMU puzzle can be fit together to paint a clear picture. Too many issues from both the coaching and players stand point. Doh has a massive job trying to get this team together in time for conference play. Obviously, UNLV is going to make most teams look bad; however, most of those of us on this board are just looking for signs of anything that would make this program look like they are capable of doing anything correctly. Right now it is all a jumble and the prospects for the future are not bright with this chemistry of players and coaches.

Faye is 3-13 and 0-5 from 3. We are now 0-12 from three. Awesome half court sets.

That's one reason I really like the '10 class. They are all multi-skilled, can shoot, and play fairly smart. It's like they are cut from a different cloth. Unfortunately, the more I watch this team, I realize we need more then a 3 person class, which means a few kids need to hit the road. Vicious cycle
