FIRE DOHERTY NOW!

Postby drewbz71 » Tue Dec 22, 2009 11:11 pm

I have held my words in for a long time in hope that this team would buy into Doh.... I can now say that there is zero chance that will ever happen. He lacks the ability to bring quality recruits together and develop them. I am sick of this. Fire him or just get rid of the program. This only hurts our name when we have to watch something like this. I give up until a coaching change takes place.

Is there some kind of online petition that will send Orsini an email everytime someone signs it?

Agree 100%. Either fire Doh or turn the Crum Center into an indoor practice facility for football.

I would say the most disappointing thing is the poor quality of player he has brought to SMU. This team is small, unathletic, poor shooting, very little team speed, and very little basketball IQ. If I see another player break a double team and not attack the basket I am going to scream.

Coaching is some of it, but this is just flat out a team full of bad players. We play so far below the rim it is amazing. This game tonight is like watching a women's team play a men's team (less speed, slow, less athleticism), except that our team can't shoot.

A good coach could actually do something with these guys. Watching them play, they have no discipline and seem to lack fundamentals. Under DOH, we have never had a half court set. Really like the guy, but he can't coach.

As I have said on this board and others like it: Billy Gillespie.

with the recent Charlotte Observer article, wonder if Doh could and would return to UNC as an assistant under Roy if it doesn't work out here. Speaking of north carolina schools, how is Dement doing lately at UNC Greensboro? I absolutely hate seeing coaches fired at SMU and i feel like i've seen enough now to last a lifetime.

I couldn't sit through this debacle last night. We look pathetic and we have looked that way since Doh showed up. Let's bring in Billy Gillespie.

Does anyone know any coaches but washout Gillespie and nutsack fraschilla? Its like you guys want to fire Doh, just to re-hire Doh. Retreads seldom work. Retreads w/God awful baggage work even less.

I heard of a guy named RoboDoh once. Gillespie is better.

UNLV's top asst Henson. UT's top asst
Springmann.
I like Gill but better choices out there.
Bottom line , anythings better than what we got.

Henson can't recruit which is why getting a head job is taking him so long. I like him as a bench guy, though. Springman works, as does Spinnelli. Just hire Dalonte Hill as head coach, lol. Lots of young profile assistants would line up. Getting a head guy from another school seems a different matter. I can't imagine that search would go well, or generate much heat in the media, unless we figured out a way to pay unGodly figures, which does seem to be our thing.
