Your original question was if anyone had seen him at any events in the last 25 years.

I gave you one, and I don't even know the guy. Combine that with the fact that he spent whatever tuition was a few years ago over 4 years to send Jessica to SMU, and I'm sure there are more instances.

The stuff he's said about SMU are no different than what any of us have said while watching 95% of our football games prior to this year.

I have wiped my mind clean of the screen names of all the crazy short term posters we had on this board before JJ was hired but locostang sure sounds like a reincarnation of them.

After further reflection and night of sleep I realized that I was spitting venom out towards Craig, and that really isn't my style. I spoke out of turn, since I don't know him well, and don't know all of the details of this saga. He and his family are in a serious [deleted] storm no doubt, and some of it may have been brought upon by themselves.

I am disappointed in him as a potential ambassador for the program, but he can do whatever the heck he wants to. We already have leaders and die hards moving the program forward, and we don't need him at SMU to be successful. We proved that this year.

Stop hatin' on locostang. He's just a passionate ponyfan with some extremely hot sports opinions. Besides, all this fighting between ponies is making me uncomfortable.

Better get used to it. While this board is a great place for up to date information and meaningful discussion of all things SMU, the in-fighting has been going on since the beginning, sometimes at a much higher pitch. Most of it is not serious and many perceived wounds have been healed with a few beers on the Blvd.

Maybe we could have the moderator automatically move all 'hate' messages to the TT board.

It takes all the fun out of the TT train wreck if we turn on each other over something as useless as a debate on if CJ is a good guy or not. Who cares really? Our program is on the upswing big time, we have a coach that from all accounts is great to play for - but also is no wussy...which is a fine line for the coach to walk. Also - after looking over the TT site I have a whole new appreciation for our fan base - we are generally balanced, fun spirited and seomtimes even witty (I guess we had to work on our sense of humor during our 25 yr seperation from good football). The TT fan base reads like Texas Chain Saw Massacre IV - it is literally a horror movie.

TT getting popped in the mouth by lady luck only helps us and hurts the Big 12. Afterall, if both Baylor and TT are doormats - if you cant play for UT you might rather play for TCU or SMU then the bottom of the big 12 - and that could really be good for us in the very near term.

I can't believe any SMU fan would consider Adam James transferring to SMU a good thing.

The guy sucks at football for starters. He was only given a shot by Texas Tech after Craig James lobbied heavily for him. And it was only because Mike Leach overruled several coaches who argued against it. (Watch his Rivals "highlights". He sucks.)

Even if Leach was in the wrong, numerous coaches (current and former) and teammates of James's have said he has a terrible work ethic and terrible attitude.

What a horrible idea taking him on would be. No way June Jones would do this.

Yeah, but it could also spill over into the Blvd. after a few beers and any wounds there won't be perceived. It would be funny though. Just don't knock any tents over.

Don't forget June Jones ran off a bunch of guys with bad attitudes in the offseason, and he's said on a couple of occasions that that was one of the keys to this season's success (i.e. the resulting team togetherness from not having the bad apples).

As for whether a player's family connections would influence the coach: I'm sure Andrew Robiskie could attest that they don't.
