Mustang Club Suggestion...

Postby RumFirePony » Mon Jan 04, 2010 7:19 pm

As a Mustang Club member (SMU undergrad) and a Rams Club member (UNC grad school), I think the Mustang Club should send out car stickers similar to the stickers the Rams Club sends out - just replace the UNC with a Mustang symbol, change 'Rams' to 'Mustang', and change the colors. When I was living in Chapel Hill these Rams club stickers were almost a status symbol. If you go to the grocery store in Chapel Hill at least half the cars have one. This might be low on the priority list but it would be cool to drive around Dallas and see cars with these instead of the current little ones you can hardly see.

Here is what the UNC one looked like last year (this is for 1-9 years "Member", if you have been a member for 10-19 years you get one that says "10+ Years Member" and for greater than 20 years you get one that says "20+ Years Member" on it). I give money to the Rams club just so I can have a 20+ Years sticker in 16 more years (if they even have stickers then). I think the sticker is about 3 inches by 3 inches.

Strike while the iron is hot. Top 25 in stickers.

Send the suggestion to the M Club.

They had nice pony up stickers, I'm tired of the slogan, but I'm too relaxed to market.
Tell the Mustang club will all donate the money for them it will get done. It is always about $$ budget stuff.

Those new Texas plates are terrible, home mustang club gets a piece of those plates, most SMU people wouldn't be caught dead with the new ones on their BMWer

Same with the FAR better looking Dark Blue for Iron Dukes.

I love College of Charleston.

Back to SMU. What ever happened to the metal plates they used to send for our office plaques.

The Mustang Club sticker for your car looks great...it just needs to be larger like they use to be.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
