OK but both schools deserve the appreciation of non-BCS schools everywhere by selling substantially more than their initial alottments despite the disappointment of being put at the kiddie table.

Yes, they do. Though, I wonder if TCU boosters underwrote some of those purchases; it was clear there were empty seats in the upper levels and clearly more BSU fans.

And only because they played eachother could I cheer for Boise State. If they had played other auto. qual. schools, I would have cheered for both of them to win to cause further BCS chaos. But as far as I was concerned, I got nothing by TCU winning, so I cheered for Boise.

And again, where TCU is today is where we want to be.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Boise ST. at times almost looked like they were running a version of the R&S. They came ready to play and TCU didn't. I detected an air of arrogance with TCU. Almost like they felt they were too good to be playing in that bowl and deserved a much higher level of visibility and competition.

I was reading the TCU board last week and there were a lot of folks on there trying to get rid of tickets. Apparently they had bought some of TCU's allotment and didn't like the nosebleed section they were in so they bought some more in a better location directly from the Fiesta Bowl people. They were talking about giving them away to various orginizations or one idea that was floated was to give them away to folks in the bars they went to while there. They were worried that the TCU section would look sparse.
I want our program to get where TCU has gotten but I certainly hope we don't get the attitude that a lot of their fans have. At least on the Killerfrog board. The arrogance is unbelievable. Reading it now, some of the Boise State folks are back on it saying one of TCU's problems was overconfidence and arrogance. I really believe that Florida would have beat them by 30.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

TCU as usual painted itself as the true heir to a trip to the NC game by reason of their regular season. I guess the TCU that kind of beat UVa., was the same TCU we saw last night. If last night's performance was any indicator, its a good thing they didn't play Florida, Alabama or UT, they would have been flat out mauled. Dalton looked like a true freshman. I hope no one stood next to their receivers at a urinal, because they couldn't hold on to anything. That said, Boise shut down their vaunted running attack. They dominated both lines of scrimmage and didn't make many mistakes. Hughes was a non-factor. Clearly, the book on TCU is clear. If you can stop their running attack, shadow their QB and put pressure on the QB, TCU is beatable, if your team can avoid mistakes. Clearly, Boise only had a couple of misques.

TCU came ready to play they just got beat by a better team. I give credit to Boise State winning it not TCU losing it.

not even close to completing passes over the middle. if that many defenders caused the problem, running should have been easy. Terrible routes or terrible passes or both. Huge difference of qb play in this game.

Dalton had a great year-but he has never proven he can put team on shoulders when needed. I've always had questions about Dalton-too mechanical and not enough of a deep threat-but you can't take away that Dalton had a great year. All in all if some receivers had made some plays TCU could have still been there at the end-Antone Hicks in particular should have scored on Dalton's heave to the end zone-badly misjudged ball. TCU's best rusher had 1 carry I think. It is in this area that TCU will get much better in future years when new RBs hit field. TCU's defense played outstanding-they were really hurt by Interception for TD and special teams on fake punt. Holding Boise to about 30 points or whatever it is below its offensive average is an outstanding performance. All in all TCU ain't going anywhere-if anything the talent is getting better-they will contenf for conference championships and perhaps occassional BCS for forseeable future. SMU has a quite a bit of ground to make up to catch them.
