Good luck, Vic!

You'll always be a Mustang to me. Thanks for all you've done here, from LB to S&C.

Complaining about loyal employees that take the opportunity to better their lives and the lives of thier family, and advance in their career, just makes you look really, really stupid or immature. Or both.

Anyone of you who have that opinion would do the same if it was you - so try not to be a hypocrite in public.

Good luck Vic! You did great work here and in addition gave this team a much needed spark this year.

Hope we advance up the ladder and maybe have enough dough at some point to get you back again.

Best wishes for Vic. Wonderful opportunity for him to take better care of his family and be at a major program.

BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

I received this from an FSU alum this morning:

Viloria fills out Fisher's coaching stafff

Jimbo Fisher's new coaching staff is finally complete.

During a press conference last Wednesday, the Seminoles' new head coach officially announced five new assistant coaches. The only remaining spot to fill was a new strength and conditioning coach to replace Todd Stroud.

On Saturday, Warchant.com confirmed with a team source that Vic Viloria, who has been the strength and conditioning coach at SMU the past few years, will be hired to fill the position.

Of the six new assistant coaches recently hired, Viloria's name is the least surprising. He had been rumored to be the leading candidate for the position for months, even before Stroud was informed that he would not be retained.

Prior to his tenure at SMU, Viloria served as assistant under strength and conditioning guru Tom Moffitt at LSU. It was during his time in Baton Route when he became acquainted with Fisher.

Viloria is expected to start his new duties at Florida State within the next few days as the spring semester has already begun.

Best of luck in Tallahassee, Coach Vic.

I can proudly say that I know Vic personnally as many others on this board do. He was nothing short of spectacular while he played here. Given today's success of the team, he might have been pushing for an all-american honorable mention if was still playing. A true class act that has every right to pursue a better future and continue his own career. SMU is not a S&C mecca, Florida State is much closer. Funny thing is, he now works with (maybe above) his strength coach while playing, Jon Jost.

I hope he enjoys going 4-7 while watching SMU approach the Top 10 and a BCS Bowl.

Vic might be the most passionate player I ever saw at SMU, and from what I gather, he approaches his job as strength coach with the same intensity.
Congratulations, Vic — good luck at FSU.

So ... who takes his place on the Hilltop?
