I hate to burst the bubble of parents, but I hardly ever see kids actually watching the field, let alone kids who "know" the game. They are usually squirming in their seats, begging for cotton candy or in the endzone at the bounce house.

Give it up - saying anything negative about kids or bringing snowflake to the game is a losing battle.

Parents let the kids run the show now. What a travesty. Whatever happened to parents being the ones who made the rules and were in control? ;)

My father (God rest his soul) would take me to the Cotton Bowl to watch S.M.U. football games during the day or night, wet or dry weather, hot or cold weather, etc. He would MAKE me sit in the seat and watch the game! He would EXPLAIN the game to me and what was happening. I LEARNED! Football games should be a fun, learning environment, not a baby-sitting service.

My two cents.

Yes that is how you got both MM65 and Stallion. 8) Damn I could have spouted the starting lineup at 8 including vital stats. At the age of 10 I questioned the recruitment of mrydel as a mere high school All District type.

We did the same thing at all the games....stayed until the last play watching the whole game. I remember that deathly SMU/University of Arlington barnburner that I begged to go to. I think we pulled it out 14-7 for our only win of the year. Wish I could have lived near SMU to bring my son to all the games.

I think all game starts need to be moved to 7:00 a.m. This will keep games played when it is still relatively cool, and discourage the consumption of alcohol by our fans.

He has more than made up for it with good seats. His seats are rated 4 stars by rivals.

Actually I was All State but the rest of your doubts were probably true. I often wondered who the coaches wre talking about that was discouraging them from signing me.

You mean there weren't bouncy houses and wall-climbing and other toys in the back of the end zone? What torture!!
Ditto your two cents.

Though it is sacrilege, we can learn a thing or two from TCU in this regard. I personally think their bit with the kids running out on the field with the team is something we should incorporate here.

One of the best things we have going is that we can sell an entire family tickets to winning football and hot dogs and cokes for less than one ticket and the cost to park at Jerry World.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I probably underestimated mrydel since I couldn't even find him in my 1969 Texas Football "Best of the Rest" high school recruiting section. Definite "Sleeper" "Long Term Project". Heard rumors he spent too much time with Ladies with expensive tastes

The TCU Kids Pre-Game run is marketing genuis-kids have parents who buy tickets and they have to be in stands BEFORE game

Very long term--he's only come into his own in the last few years.

You might have better luck with the 1968 Arkansas High School football, or I guess '67 since I graduated in 68.
