Muschamp turning down TN

Postby BRStang » Thu Jan 14, 2010 12:02 pm

Took himself out of consideration today according to ESPN radio. Bad choice he's making. Oh well.

I wonder if Conan O'Brien would take a top head coaching job now or would stay on the "promise" to be the next Texas HC once Mack retires...hmmm.

Muschamp is missing a great opportunity. Don't know when Brown would actually step down in Austin, but Tennessee has a rich tradition and have been a national power for decades. He could brand himself with a great program.

The Vols are six times National Champions with the most recent in 1998.

I heard that Brown is 1 year older than Pete Carroll and there is the notion that "he has a lot of football left in him." What happens when he pulls a Bobby Bowden and decides to stay another year, and then another year, and then another year?
