True, but I still think a Thurs. night game is better for exposure. But I'd rather have the ESPN exposure on Fri night than CSTV on Saturday, that's for sure.

If this is the way to get the greek system to come to the games after several hours boulevarding, we will have plenty of kids snoozing in their seats by halftime... and thats not because the games would be boring if you catch my drift.

Not really in Texas. Thats why they make such a big deal about Friday Night Lights. Usually the teams who play on saturday are podunk teams who don't even have lights on their field

Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, Ft. Worth and other big cities or suburban cities with a lot of high schools that share facities (Ft. Bend for example) play a big percentage of their games on Thursday and Saturday. I'd say probably 30% of their games by guesstimate

You must not be familiar with DISD, HISD, the school districts in San Antonio, etc. etc. etc.

I grew up in an area where almost every high school game was on Friday night...but in the playoffs, we often played teams that had 4 or 5 Saturday games on their schedules.

95 % of DISD games are on friday and usually are not the big name teams in the area. Its usually like pinkston or thomas jefferson and when was the last time they actually had a d1 recruit in football.

I would think the tailgating on The Boulevard would be pretty lively on a Friday!

I'm telling you I follow high school football, DISD and all the Districts I listed plus many others play a high percentage of games on Thursday and Saturday Nite. And I'm not talking some I'm talking ALL teams in those districts play a lot of games on Thursday and Saturday Nite during this particular week

Here's an example from last year-68 5A teams alone played on either Thursday or Saturday Nite. This doesn't include 4A or other classifications. I did a review of the schools on the list for Thursday and Saturday and in a matter of a few minutes I counted at least 21 schools on the list who have sent recruits to SMU in very recent years-and again that's 5A only
